Bethany Moncel is a passionate food enthusiast who has been dabbling in the art and science of food since childhood. Culinary curiosity has been her fuel for life, both personal and professional.
Bethany has 10 years of experience working in the food service industry including everything from large-scale commercial kitchens to small mom and pop eateries. Bethany spent three years working in the specialty grocery industry, which expanded her knowledge of ingredients and foods from around the world.
Since 2009, Bethany’s blog, Budget Bytes, has been inspiring people to get back in the kitchen and rediscover the art of cooking. Through her blog, Bethany teaches basic cooking skills and introduces new culinary concepts to those who are new to the kitchen.
Bethany earned a Bachelors degree in Nutritional Science from Louisiana State University, which allowed her to explore the science of food as well as many cultural and socioeconomic issues related to food and nutrition.
